1st national Catholic Health Summit
Held @ Musa Yaradua Centre - Abuja
The event of the 1st National Catholic Health Summit was held this year, 2019, in Abuja. The event was held to commemorate and celebrate the activities of the Catholic Church as regards Health intervention in Nigeria in the past 120 years and to re-assess strategies for a more fruitful future.
Part of the event was the flagging off ceremony of the “Proactive Healthcare Delivery Package in Nigeria.”

Towards a Healthy Year
- Participate at national policy dialogues on health matters with the Federal Ministry of health and the respective National Assembly committees.
- Provide technical assistance to dioceses on health systems strengthening and service optimization.
- Institute quality assurance programmes and supportive supervision missions to dioceses.
- Engage with development partners on health programmes.
- Organize training on natural fertility regulation techniques
- Review of national Catholic health policies
- Host annual statutory meeting of all diocesan health coordinators.
